Fall is synonymous with indoors, and indoors go hand-in-hand with equitation finals. ShowNet live streamed three of them in one weekend, plus a charitable indoor grand prix, in the latest Weekly Wrap.

Kentucky National highlights include:

$10,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby:  Jeff Gogul dominated the USHJA National Hunter Derby. He rode to the top two placings, which were separated by just a half-point. Roberts Stables’ Snowbird climbed to the top of the leaderboard with an impressive handy round score of 91.

Region 4 Maclay Championship: Grady Lyman topped the Region 4 Maclay Championship aboard Cohiba VDL. Lyman is a high school senior from Rancho Santa Fe, CA, and is committed to the University of South Carolina’s hunt seat team. Her winning mount is a 12-year-old Hanoverian owned by her trainers Ken and Emily Smith’s Ashland Farms.

$30,000 Prix de Lexington: Aaron Vale is known for being one of the fastest riders around, but he didn’t need to rely on speed in the Prix de Lexington. Vale and Stakko were the only double-clear performers on the day, besting a compact jump-off field of three. Even still, they were more than a half-second faster than their competitors.

$60,000 Betsy Grand Prix: Hardin Towell and Carlo led the victory gallop in the Betsy Grand Prix. Towell and Ann Thompson’s Holsteiner gelding were fastest in an an eight-horse jump-off. The annual event coincides with a benefit for the University of Kentucky’s Markey Cancer Foundation.

Old Salem Farm highlights include:

Region 1 Maclay Championship: At Old Salem, Annabel Revers secured herself a place in the ASPCA National Championship for the fourth consecutive year by taking the win in the Region 1 Championship. The 18-year-old came out on top aboard her longtime mount Quax. She trains with Stacia Madden and Max Amaya.

Region 2 Maclay Championship: Taylor Griffiths won the Region 2 Maclay Championship. The 16-year-old’s winning partner was Mac One III, a former international show jumper under his owner, Lauren Hough. She trains with her mother, Jennifer Madden, and step-father, Frank Madden, at Capitol Hill Stables, along with North Run’s Missy Clark and John Brennan.

The indoor season continues in the next Weekly Wrap!
