Kentucky’s summer season concludes in the latest Weekly Wrap.

KHJA highlights include:

$15,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic: There were two winners in the Hagyard Lexington Classic. The popular class received so many entries, it was split into two sections. Section A went to Lorcan Gallagher and Hunters Conlypso II. The duo was nearly two seconds fastest in a nine-horse jump-off, which gave Lorcan the lead in the lucrative Hagyard Challenge Series.

Christoph Schroeder won Section B. His winning mount was Tarzan D’Ivraie. That pair came out on top in an even larger 13-horse jump-off.

USHJA National Hunter Derby: Melissa Donnelly rode Elizabeth Becker’s Corlando 49 to a commanding victory in the USHJA National Hunter Derby. The duo led wire to wire over the two rounds of jumping, and their 177-point total was nearly 10 points best in the 22-horse field. Donnelly is the professional rider at Just a Folly Farm in Oxford, MI.

$30,000 KHJA Grand Prix: Pablo Barrios was best in the week’s feature, the KHJA Grand Prix. He and Le Vio were the only double-clear performers in a jump-off field of six to cap Kentucky’s summer season.
