Kentucky features the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show in the latest Weekly Wrap.
Bluegrass Festival Horse Show highlights include:
$25,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic: Jimmy Torano continued a successful summer with Ilan Ferder’s Glasgow de Muze in the Hagyard Lexington Classic, the fifth of seven legs in the Hagyard Challenge Series. The duo crossed the timers just two-hundredths of a second faster than Rodrigo Carrasco and his own Acapulco FZ.
USHJA National Hunter Derby: Derby Championships took place this week, and while Tori Colvin and Brad Wolf’s Private Practice took the limelight, the 5-year-old Sonder pegged himself as a potential competitor at a future Championships when winning the USHJA National Hunter Derby. With Patricia Griffith in the irons, the young Hanoverian gelding jumped to scores of 91 and 87 to lead home the victory lap over a strong field of 37.
$40,000 Bluegrass Festival Grand Prix: Kady Abrahamson was best in the Bluegrass Grand Prix. She and her own Charline 28 bested a jump-off field of four by almost two seconds to cap the week.
